• sore throat, dermatitis, rope burn, sunburn
• the bruised, moistened leaves of this plant are used as a poultice to treat minor skin problems such as burns, boils, shallow surface, infections of the skin, scrapes, or sores
• a cold-water infusion of the pea pods is used to ease sore throats
